Hello,
oh my god, this is kind of embarassing, but I don't know what else to do.
In the night from 4th to 5th August I shared a sleeping department from Nice to Paris with a guy from italy/tuscany. He told me his first name, but I don't remember it. I also don't know the name of his home town in tuscany.
I only know that he studied english and spanish and economics in tuscany, I suppose either Prato or Arezzo. He also told me that he studied some time in Brussels. His plan was to go to a concert in Brussels and then travel to Istanbul (so he is still on the way there). A friend that he met in Paris will probably join him until Istanbul.
We talked a lot and I really liked him, but we didn't exchange contact details – but maybe there is a tiny chance that YOU are reading this – or someone who knows him! I would be really grateful for any help/hint! |

Hello tigerlily, no worries and no need to be embarassed! Everyone meets lovely people on trains and it's perfectly normal to search for them. I live in Tuscany, but unfortunately your description is a little bit vague so it's difficult to help you. Do you at least know in what university he was studying? that maybe would be helpful for you...

P.S. is your nickname taken from Peter Pan cartoon? |

Hi,
thanks for your reply. The problem really is that I forget names easily, so I can't remember his name (but it was a double name I think) and I can't remember the place he studied, I only know it wasn't Florence or Pisa.
I'm afraid it's a lost case, he certainly won't read this (or anyone else who could recognise him through my description), and I don't know how else to search, without names ...
Concerning your P.S.: no, I don't have my name from the Peter Pan cartoon, I am not familiar with the cartoon, but I just googled her and she looks very cute. |

Maybe Siena is the town where he studies? We have only 3 towns here with an university: Firenze, Pisa, Siena. Maybe there are some detached departments in smaller places, but the main seats are in these towns.

Okay, then it was Siena I think.
Anyway, I don't know how and if I shall pursue my search. At first I was really enthusiastic about wanting to find him, but as time goes by I realise that even finding him wouldn't lead to anything. I probably just enjoyed the idea so much that something could develop from this one-time-encounter.
This is what happens to me always when I travel and meet new people – I always get an idea of how many ways life offers you. Then I don't wanna go back home, being caught in every day life, work etc. But once you are back, every day life gets you so fast
well, anyway, thank you for trying to help me |
